The 'Air Quality Index' map overlay is the current US EPA PM2.5 air quality index from PurpleAir sensors. Shown as the 10-minute average for the past 24 hours.
Click the "Maps" tab and select the "Air Quality" overlay.
Here is an example of the air quality index for Lake Tahoe, California on August 24, 2021.
The higher the AQI value, the greater the level of air pollution and the greater the health concern.
